Tribute To Late Alhaji Sabiu Maijama’a (Garkuwan Funtua) -By Abubakar Babangida

Alhaji Sabi’u Maijama’a is one of the few men that cannot easily be forgotten. This is not because he controls millions, but largely due to the massive impact he generated in his life time. He lived a life of impact. I saw in him the true riches as advocated of building humanity.

The selfless life of this great man caught my attention at my very tender age. It was an enviable lifestyle difficult to pursue due to the materialistic nature of our time. But he lived this unique and exemplary life with ease. His aim at all times is to put smile in the heart and faces of vulnerable.

Alhaji Maijama’a during his life time built so many and many more mosques, Islamiyya Schools and among other important aspect of him was secured employment to so many young people in our area. It’s evident to show by whoever witnessed his Janaza must see men in uniform of Civil Defense, I didn’t say all of them were his products but I saw so many faces that got that job because of his influence.

May Allah Forgive him all his shortcomings and made Jannatul Fiddausi to be his final abode.
