Tribute To Sammie Okposo

Isaiah Ogedegbe, a pastor, has expressed grief over the death of popular Nigerian gospel singer, Sammie Okposo who died two days ago on November 25, 2022 at the age of 51.

Ogedegbe, who described the Delta-born musician as “one of the greatest musical voices in Nigeria”, said Sammie Okposo had lived an impactful life and deserves to be celebrated. According to him, “My brother Sammie Okposo lived a very impactful life; he affected millions of lives all over the world through his music. He was one of the greatest musical voices in Nigeria. He was a gospel singer, a great man with a kind heart towards all people. Just like every other human being, Okposo was not perfect but he tried his best.”

Ogedegbe further advised some people still using the late singer’s past mistake to judge him to change, adding that only God is the Judge. He, however, prayed for God to overlook the late singer’s mistake and grant his soul eternal rest. He also prayed for God to give the Okposo family the grace to bear this great loss.
