Trump Urges Caution After Israeli Strike on Qatar
U.S. President Donald Trump urges caution after Israel’s unprecedented strike on Doha killed five Hamas members and a Qatari officer. Arab leaders rally in Qatar, demanding Israel be held accountable.

Days after Israel carried out an airstrike in Qatar that targeted Hamas leaders, U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday offered measured remarks as Washington’s two key Middle Eastern allies face a deepening crisis.
“Qatar has been a very great ally. Israel and everyone else, we have to be careful. When we attack people we have to be careful,” Trump told reporters.
Trump had earlier rebuked Israel for Tuesday’s unprecedented strike on Doha — where negotiators from Israel and Hamas have been working to end the war in Gaza.
The attack killed five Hamas members and a Qatari security officer, drawing swift condemnation across the Arab and Muslim world. Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas joined other regional leaders in Doha for a show of solidarity, as Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani called on the international community to “stop using double standards” and hold Israel accountable.
Qatar also hosts the largest U.S. military base in the region.
