Two Parents of Abducted Niger Schoolchildren Confirmed Dead
The Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, Bulus Yohanna, has confirmed the deaths of two parents of students abducted from St Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Niger State. One parent, Anthony Musa, reportedly died of a heart attack, while details of the second victim are yet to be confirmed.
Two parents of students kidnapped from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State, have died amid the ongoing trauma surrounding the incident.
The victims include a man identified as Anthony Musa and a woman whose identity has not yet been verified.
Their deaths were confirmed on Tuesday in Minna by the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, Most Rev. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, through his media aide, Daniel Atori. Yohanna, who also chairs the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the state and owns the school, said Musa died from a heart attack, while details about the female parent remain unclear as the church has not been able to reach her family.
