UCL Final: Chelsea beat Man City to Win Champions League -By Shereefdeen Sawe

The Blues have won the UEFA Champions league after claiming a deserving 1-0 victory over Manchester City. Kai Havertz’s only goal on the brink of the first-half separated the two sides in Estadio Do Dragao on Saturday.

The Cityzens suffered a horrible case of deja vu as they have fallen again to the superiority of Thomas Tuchel three times within the space of six weeks.

Mason Mount opens the defence of the Cityzens with an immaculate through-pass to set up Kai Havertz which the German international converted into a goal in 42nd minutes.

Guardiola’s men out-classed the Blues but it was not enough to cancel the only goal of the game. Manchester City finished the game without their talisman, Kelvin De Bruyne who was forced out due to injury in the second half although, Thiago Silva could not even end the first half for Chelsea.

Chelsea has been crown as UEFA Champions for the second time_ 2012 and 2021. The Blues made sure the hoodoo chasing them this season is set away at the end with a bright smiles. Meanwhile,the Cityzens hopes to win the UEFA Champions league for the first time coupled with a treble this season has been shattered by Thomas Tuchel.
