UNICAL Librarian Joins UNESCO MIL Alliance

Nobel Prize Nominee, Professor Aniebiet Inyang Ntui has officially joined the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Media and Information Literacy Alliance as a Member of the Pact. This was made known through a News Update by the UN Agency.

The UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Alliance, formerly known as Global Alliance for Partnerships on Media and Information Literacy (GAPMIL), is a groundbreaking effort to promote international cooperation to ensure that all citizens have access to media and information competencies. Yet, organizations and individuals from over a hundred countries have agreed to join forces and stand together for change.

Aniebiet Inyang Ntui is the Most Read Researcher in Nigeria, 2022 UK Global Prize Winner, a Professor of Library and Information Science and the University Librarian of the University of Calabar.

She holds a B.Sc.(Ed), Dip(Computer Techniques), M.Ed., MLS, and a Ph.D in Library and Information Science. She has over twenty (20) years of experience in the library and classroom of the University of Calabar, Nigeria.
