UPDATE: Man United’s Antony in tears after call-up to Brazil’s World Cup squad
Roberto Firmino was, however, omitted from the Brazilian national squad for the tournament despite being one of the key players for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in their tough times this season.
Manchester United winger Antony on Monday broke down in tears among family and friends after it was confirmed that he was going to play at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar for Brazil.
The Brazilian was seen, in a video posted on his Instastory on Monday, initially ecstatic with everyone else in the room when his name was called in the list going to Qatar.
He then hugged a person with his face down in what was an emotional moment for the 22-year-old forward.
Other forwards in the Premier League included in Tite’s World Cup team are Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, and Richarlison.
