Chaos erupted at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Sunday as angry fans of Kano Pillars invaded the pitch and attacked match officials following a dramatic late equaliser by Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash.

Kano Pillars had taken an early lead in the ninth minute through Mustapha Jibrin, but deep into added time, Adams Mustapha scored for 3SC to make it 1–1 — a goal that sparked outrage among sections of the home supporters.

At the final whistle, parts of the crowd stormed the pitch, targeting referees and some 3SC players. Videos circulating on social media captured chaotic scenes of fans charging at officials, hurling objects, and throwing punches.
