The Independent National Electoral Commission on Wednesday said it had received virtually all non-sensitive materials for the forthcoming July 16 governorship poll in Osun State.

This was disclosed by the INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner for the state, Prof Abdulganiyy Raji, while speaking at a two-day workshop organised by the state government in collaboration with KA Media Consultants for journalists and information officers in the state, on ‘election coverage’.

The REC, who was represented by the Head of Department, Election and Party Monitoring, Mr Shehu Muhammad, said the commission had embarked on series of engagement with different groups and stakeholders; educating people on the need for collaboration that would guarantee a peaceful poll.
