This year I travelled home and couldn’t shave for some weeks and my beards returned. The Kanu connection has returned. The argument over whether I should retain or discard the beards has started again.

If I leave my beards, some tell me to retain them (that I look great), while some tell me to shave them (that I look awful). So which group is right?

In 2019 when I first left my beards, many people told me that I look like Nnamdi Kanu. I thought they were joking. It was only when a police man stopped me on the Shagamu-Benin Expressway and asked me if I was related to Nnamdi Kanu or from Abia State that I knew that the handshake was going beyond the elbow!

This year I travelled home and couldn’t shave for some weeks and my beards returned. The Kanu connection has returned. The argument over whether I should retain or discard the beards has started again.

I went to a different branch of my bank recently and the officers told me that I would need to update my account with my current photo!

This life eh! Ebenezer Obey sang about it in his song: The Horse, The Man & The Son (populalarly known as the Ketekete song).

So which look is better: clean shaven or bearded?
