Professor Aniebiet Inyang Ntui came out during the weekend to refute claims that she is planning to endorse Peter Obi of the Labor Party for Presidency but who is Aniebiet Inyang Ntui and what are her achievements?


In February, she was appointed by the Governing Council as the 5th Substantive University Librarian of the University of Calabar, after serving as a Professor of Library and Information Science for years.

In August, she was named as the Most Read Researcher in Nigeria by the Web of Science with over 500,000 reads on the ResearchGate Platform. She was also appointed by the European Union (EU) as a Stakeholder Member of the Polifonia Project and a Member of the European Union Research Initiative, Europeana.

In September, the North American Association for Environmental Education appointed her as a Member of the eePro Community. Later on, she lead discussions during the Association’s Annual Research Symposium in Tucson, Arizona from October 11 to 12 and Conference from October 12 to 15 at the Westin La Paloma Resort.

She later spoke alongside European Leaders during the Polifonia Stakeholder Network Meeting at the iconic Conservatoire national des arts et métiers in Paris.

In October, she failed to win the 2022 Nobel Citation Laureates Prize which she was nominated for along side Prof. Oye Gureje but went on to win the UK Global Award as the Education Services Expert of the Year in Nigeria and was appointed by the Association of Commonwealth Universities as a Member of the Peace and Reconciliation Network.

In November, she is expected to play an active role at the Conference of Parties (COP) 27 in Egypt as she played an instrumental role during the Climate Change Conference, COP 26, held last year in Glasgow. She was appointed by the United Kingdom Government as a Member of the COP 26-UK Universities Climate Network.
