The Government will always make noise using the media that they are improving Education and the Health sector but their children are schooling abroad and when they need medical attention, they ran to the oversea doctors, do I blame them? No.

Let’s be realistic, we were told in 2018 that competent Teachers have being recruited in kaduna state while the incompetent ones are disengaged, please why another competency Test?

We should look, observe and analyse why does the Government always hide under the umbrella of competency Test to remove people from the payroll. From what I gathered, the teachers have a regulatory body which is been enacted by the law to regulate and certify Teachers which Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). So, where did the SUBEB got it’s power to conduct Competency Test?

If not the mischievous ways of our government, are they trying to tell us that the institutions all these Teachers graduated from are not competent or the certificate does not qualified them?

The annoying part are the lecturers drawn from FCE Zaria and COE kafanchan to come and set the Questions, instead of them to confront the Government by saying; are you doubting our products, our work or our prestigious students? No, they all shamelessly come because some allowances have been token to them Into their pockets, do I blame them? I will blame the Economy hardship.

Now let’s look at this way, can the Government try this rubbish with the medical personnel or the Nursing council? No.

The Government will always make noise using the media that they are improving Education and the Health sector but their children are schooling abroad and when they need medical attention, they ran to the oversea doctors, do I blame them? No.

Subjecting the primary School Teachers to write another Test is abysmally wicked. Come to think of it, are they the only one in kaduna state? Are they under the state government or the local Government? What have they done to deserve all these? Their Salaries are delayed, unexplained deducted, unscheduled removal from payroll, non implementation of promotions but they still cope to do the job with patience and resilience, is it not high time the Government compensate and increase their status in the eyes of the people.

Many young men are being denied marriage because they are only primary school Teachers, please is this not a shame? Is working in the primary school now a crime or what?

The Subeb is being headed by an accountant Mr Tijanni Abdullahi who is supposed to be in the financial sector,, please for crying out loud, how do you expect such person to perform effectively? Or is it because the children of the poor are the one attending such schools that’s why the Government decides to frustrate that sector of education? Since the inception of the Subeb chairman, things were getting bad as I have heard from a teacher, ‘he cancelled the board meeting that comprises of the NUT chairman,PTA chairman, SBMC chairman, the ward heads and other stakeholders, he made the SUBEB to be a personal decision making board’ he said.

The primary Education is the foundation of all education, once the foundation is not strong the building will not last. The earlier the foundation is given a maximum attention in order for the building to be strong, if the primary Education is loss, other education will be loss too.

The SUBEB should look forward in motivating Teachers and paying their Salaries on a due date instead of subjecting Teachers to another kangaroo test meant to downsize and remove Teachers from their job.

I rest my case
