Why can’t we have a referendum to resolve this long-running agitation for Biafra? -By Gimba Kakanda

Aliens will not descend to govern the proposed state of Biafra, so it’s breaking away with certain problems and same corrupt politicians. “Biafra” states have their indigenes as governors, some of them heavily corrupt. Their poor performance isn’t by the North or the South-West.
Affairs of Biafra will be managed by the all-domineering Rochas Okorochas and the Orji Uzor Kalus of this world, and the same set of problems along ethnic and linguistic differences will pollute their politics.
The second Biafra materializes, primordial sentiments will set in, like the age-long discrimination of Igbos of Delta or defunct Bendel descent by puritanical elements of the larger Igbo ethnic group, a narrative we have heard in their rejections of Major Kaduna Nzeogwu as authentic Igbo for being from the present-day Delta state.
