Why Nigeria Needs Bala Muhammad -By Bashir Aliyu Limanci

Unlike Atiku, Bala Muhammad is physically vibrant and politically capable of leading Nigeria. Unlike Kwankwaso, Bala Muhammad is adept at forging political alliances in a way that hardly betrays the confidence of an ally. Unlike Tambuwal, Bala Muhammad was able to modernize Abuja and restore its lost glory. He has been able to transform Bauchi into an awe-inspiring place to live. He maintains order in Bauchi by descending hard on any group of organized criminals or political saboteurs who try to threaten the peace of the state. Bala Muhammad does not make noise, he shows.

Gov. Bala Mohammed

As we close in on 2023, the opposition party, PDP is gearing up to salvage Nigeria from the disastrous direction of the ruling party, APC. As heavyweights signal their interest to seek PDP presidential ticket, the most deserving candidate to rescue Nigeria from the brink is Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi. I will go on.

I have been a registered PDP member for over ten years, and I was instrumental to the campaign that produced Atiku as a presidential nominee, but Nigeria needs a far capable candidate than Atiku Abubakar. The fact that Atiku has been a dominant player in Nigerian politics for more than two decades, should not be regarded as there is no better candidate to garner the momentum and lead the opposition to victory. Atiku is already too old to lead Nigeria considering the gravity of damage brought to Nigeria by our aging president.

This time Bala Muhammad has come of age. His leadership experience coupled with his excellent track record of blazing a trail when it comes to executing capital projects with huge socio-economic impacts, Bala Muhammad is more than capable of restructuring, rebuilding, and leading Nigeria to become a prosperous country. Aside from Governor Bala Muhammad, the biggest names who signal interests to run are Tambuwal, Kwankwaso, and Atiku. Atiku is highly respected in our party but too old to manage a multifaceted country like Nigeria and bake Muhammad was able to tell him the bitter truth. Atiku needs to retire from politics and enjoy his retirement in peace. Kwankwaso is a big player, but the way he controls Kano PDP by proxies brought more damages and internal enemies to the party than blessings. Besides, Kwankwaso cannot even rally the party behind him. While Tambuwal is a political heavyweight and would have qualified to lead the party if he had been able to solve the worsening insecurity and socioeconomic crises in his state. He would have added the achievements to his political CV. Sadly, Tambuwal is in no way closer to Bala Muhammad in terms of track records of good leadership and the capacity to govern.

Regarding all this, we know what Nigeria Nigerians desperately need and whom they want to be in charge to fix Nigeria and sharpen our future. Bala Muhammad is a savior Nigeria is waiting for.
