Upon all the existing factors that are enough to be the reasons for one’s resignation as an elected leader in Nigeria, I don’t know what often shield them from towing on to that path. Despite the fact that the gruesome killing, kidnappings, molestation and other unfavorable crimes are thriving in our localities, yet they don’t mind to give a damn attention about it. Why !

It seems like there is no ” Resignation ” in the dictionary of Nigerian leaders. Because you hardly see them making resignation when things tend to go out of their control. Sadly they prepare to die in power than to live outside the power.

Unlike our shabby mentality, those who have tried and failed in saner climes mostly took the most honorable decision by relieving themselves of the burden threatening their yoke. Some resign for a reasons which we might eye them as petty one. Some just resign for being unable to deliver their political promises which they have made during campaign session. Some resign for failure to secure the lives of their people which is one of the best reason for one to vacate.

That boyish and stupid mentality should be tamed with immediate effect, else the next generation will suffer from the hands of immoral beings who would in near future assume the mantle of leadership and keep subjecting the lives of millions people in to an excruciating pains.

Enough is enough. Just tender resignation whenever condition warrant that. Don’t subject the lives of millions of people in jeopardy for the sake of political greediness. Learn to relinquish your position for the sake of your people. My be that will be the only positive impact you will ever made for your people.

The social, political and economic vicissitudes we are facing incessantly in Nigeria is but as the result of greediness of our leaders. It’s simple to get that when you try to justly analyze and evaluate the current scenario taking place in the country.

Just of recent, Zamfara state governor openly admitted that his govt has failed to discharge it primary responsibility which is the protection of lives and properties of their people and he went ahead to urge them to pick firearms to depend themselves against the unwanted guest.

That pathetic scenario is enough to tell you they are concerned of their political seats than the lives of their people which are ideally more worthy than their useless thrones. They can’t tender resignation later to let the better hands have the chance to try their luck. Instead they rather remain there and keep watching their people dying mercilessly in cold blood.

No wonder, as the saying goes ” Da na gaba ake koyi ” people learn from their elders. Buhari is the president who enjoys more power other than any other person within the polity. He should therefore be the best object of emulation, so he careless about the lives of his citizens so the governors follows the suit, despite the sheer level of incompetence, ineptitude, mediocrity and couple with I don’t care attitude they exhibit at the extreme, yet they mind not to resign or take any proactive measures. God is watching !

Had it been he could afford doing something tangible to the sorry reality in the past, he should have been the facsimile to the governors. But unfortunately he fails to do that, and he also fails to resign so the governors chose to follow his worthless strategy towards tackling sensitive issues such as insecurity and many others of which as it’s results many of his people are wallowing in darker caves amidst a gloomy night.

Until we console our greedy minds to do away with that uncultured culture of political greediness by learning how to vacate position when things tend to get out of our control we shall find it difficult to scale through the dark ocean.

May we scale through the dark ocean soon 🤲🏾
