The host of the 2022 World Cup, Qater became the first team to crash out of the tournament on Friday after loss to Senegal and a 1-1 draw between Netherlands and Ecuador in the Group A.

The Dutch and Ecuador each now have four points, both teams having won their opening games. African side, Senegal have three points following a 3-1 victory over rivals Qater in the Group A campaign earlier on the Friday.

Qater, having suffered two consecutive defeats in the Group, means they cannot qualify to the next round again, no matter what happened in their final match with Netherlands on Tuesday.
