Yobe Police Announce 70% Crime Reduction in Q3 2025 Through Proactive Measures
Yobe Police Commissioner Emmanuel Ado reports a 70% drop in crime in Q3 2025, attributing the success to coordinated patrols, raids, community cooperation, and enhanced visibility policing across the state.
The Yobe State Police Command has announced a 70 percent reduction in crime during the third quarter of 2025.
Commissioner of Police Emmanuel Ado, speaking on Tuesday in Damaturu, attributed the decline to coordinated patrols, raids on criminal hideouts, and enhanced visibility policing across towns and villages in the state.
According to him, the success was made possible through effective collaboration between the police, other security agencies, vigilante groups, and active cooperation from residents.
Ado explained that the command had adopted proactive strategies ahead of the Ember months, a period often associated with a nationwide spike in crime.
These measures, he said, include grassroots engagements with Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and officers in charge of outstations and outposts to accelerate analytical assessments of crime trends.
The commissioner commended the Yobe State Government for its support and urged residents to remain vigilant, reporting any crimes or suspicious activities to the police.
