You Can Make A King Without King Makers -By Ikpang Sunday

It is getting hot and I will say it loud and clear, the weather condition is almost unpredictable in the south east. I remember when elderly people are exchanging pleasantry in pidgin. What you will hear most times, is ‘how whether?’ interpretation, ‘how is everything’ and the reply can either be positive or negative.

As the situation of fuel price continues to soar high and hardship continues to hold tenaciously on us, you will agree with me, that, some Nigerians in the south east had being feeling the scorching experience so severely before now.

The unrest from the south east, where a group of people are already, agitating a colony or should I say an empire or better still a state or a country of their own; calling the ’People’s Republic’ in quotes. The indigenous people of Biafra-IPOB- the agitation group is another eyesore of terrorism and this is frustrating the effort and the progress of this country from that region.

Some particular groups in some south east states had been autonomously operating unilatery in decisions that is combing down, absolutely, the peaceful co-existence in this country and disturbing the socio-economic of that area. And this is supported by men on suits and tie and their chieftaincy titles. How can particular groups of people in these states; Imo, Anambra, Enugu to be precise, declared, holidays for themselves, which is not recognized or observed by the present administration or government, curfew that can last as long as they like; and which everyone in that region is subjected to observed whether you like it or not, by the same group and some governors; like the governor of Imo state Hope Odidika Uzodinma are now finding a hiding place to safe their heads.

The series of lives been lost every single day as a result of the government forces, intercepting the insurgency, sponsors by evil minded individual who beliefs they are being marginalized, for too long is a concern memorandum. And to shock us still people are evacuating this region every now and then and this is detrimental to both natural and human resources, and there is an existing government controlling this region and little or nothing is done about it.

Whether we like it or not they are factions and deceptions arrangement by some so call responsible hoodlums, who are encouraging a war that Igbo nation, is not ready to fight.

Some youths are deceitfully belief to be freedom fighters. And who had decided to sell their souls to the devil for mystical powers to combat stray bullets. So as to operate as an indigenous state. All these are causing havoc to the destiny of the youths and the people of that region.

Now the question that should crawl into our minds is what are they fighting for? Are they fighting for the Aburi accord? Or are they fighting for the mineral resources they think they have enough to sustain them, if they are independent? Or are they fighting for the jail personnel? or are they fighting because they have been rejected for too long or because, of an opportunity for them to rule was denied , all these are aggravated issues; these people should put into taught before actualizing a case of fighting for nothing.

I want to say this to the face of those who are been deceived to die for nothing or in the name of being heroes of a country that was: You cannot make a king without king’s makers.
