Political Issues
You’re Unholy, Malevolent, And Have No Mandate To Attack Northern Leaders -By Abubakar Inusa Abubakar
Therefore Northern Nigeria shouldn’t on any account condone a dirty game of politics, political merchants or political opportunism of not only a candidate but any politician to taunt or underrate the Northern values.
Its obvious that Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is commanding a lots of respect from many in terms of his steadfastness, resiliency, political will, his principles and policies in administration among others and he is respected for that. But its for the first time that kwankwaso disregarded a notable and internationally respected and recognized socioeconomic cultural and political groups (In personality of Northern Elders Forum, Arewa Research and Development Project, Arewa consultative forum, Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa) whom were pan northern political and development groups since 1950s. Northern elders forum and Arewa consultative forum whose were originated from Arewa people congress (A.p.c) of pre-independence northern Nigeria remains assiduous and coming forth with justifiable and centralized leadership, with representation of political luminaries, traditional institutions, elders statesmen, business conglomerations, and political power players from the entire northern states which conferred it the privilege to seal, influence, and control the political entity and direction of Northern Nigeria.
Kwankwaso have blatantly come out seeking for the support of all of the sundry as a presidential candidate but he is too dubious enough, unholy, malevolent, and he has no mandate to attack the reputation of Northern leaders as he was gone round the country in 2015 soliciting and seeking for the support of all the socioeconomic cultural and political groups namely to say (Arewa consultative forum, Afenifere, and Ohanaeze Ndigbo) all begging and soliciting for their support knowing with the fact about their non-partisan but influential command and political domination. The Kwankwaso’s allien cultural style of intolerance and disrespect to religions, culture, and traditional institutions is not unusual. That was why when he was the governor of Kano State, Ado Bayero (the then emir of Kano) turbaned Wazirin Kano but Kwankwaso illegally, dictatorially, and unlawfully intruded into the traditional institution and its system to boycott and striped off the tittle of the Eazirin Kano, which eventually destablized the health of the emir and allegedly lead to his death. A complete usurp and subversion of the traditional system that is recognized by the law to confiscate the power from the emir to appoint who so ever he wishes based on the legal criteria of the institution. If Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar are the two major presidential candidate (The ruling and the major opposition party) respectively and can honor the invitation of the North, why Kwankwaso from tiny and quack Northern political party that is spread and delineated within Northern states will shun a such honorable invitation.
To many it’s because of his short and premature ideas to highlight his proposals on how to address the Northern problems and the country at glance. Some may perhaps marked him as disdain and disobedient to the Northern leaders for charity begins at home, but a such supercilious behavior of kwankwaso as a candidate soliciting for the support of all is outrageous and its more clearer to the alleged claims of people that his presidential bid is a memorandum contract, being it domestic or international.
Therefore Northern Nigeria shouldn’t on any account condone a dirty game of politics, political merchants or political opportunism of not only a candidate but any politician to taunt or underrate the Northern values.
Kwankwaso’s injurious attacks on Prof. Ango Abdullahi, Dr. Usman Bugaje, Dr. Audu Ogbeh, Dr. Paul Unongo, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed among others as leaders of the joint Arewa committee should be jettison and debunk, as the claims is groundless and lacking merit and must made kwankwaso to face the backlash in the forthcoming general election. We are committed to conserving and preserving the Northernization policy of our founding fathers.
