Eucharia-OpinionNigeria

This morning as I was responding to the private emails I received from my article on the statement of Donald Trump, about Africa stealing every penny of the $7 billion pledged by President Barack Obama of the United States of America, I came across another interesting statement direct from the horse’s mouth.

Many of you still remember the all glamorous Eucharia Anunobi of NOLLYWOOD, who from what I heard is now an Evangelist. Good, am sure you remember her now. If you still don’t, you can google her name and she will come up. Her facebook status recently reads:

“Eucharia, why have you not been seen much lately? On the pages of newspapers, magazines, events and so on?”

Now here comes her answer to the self-asked question:

“I actually thought of the best way to handle the question, so as not to sound proud or immodest, and these were my honest answers.

Thanks for looking out on me. Let me state categorically, that I Eucharia Anunobi, now Evangelist, have moved from things that don’t matter to the things that matters more, which is the work of my Father, who created me and made me an instant STAR, when I least expected it in my life.

I would never want to be remembered as someone who graced the front pages of all Newspapers, News Magazines in the world and did not contribute to the leading of people towards heaven.

I would never want to be remembered as one lady who covered or graced all the front-pages, or a fashion star, or a fashion icon, or one with the best gown at the red carpet event, designed and clothed by the best hands in the world with the best hair-style or make-up.”

Let me stop at this point of her answer because it was a lengthy one I must confess. Thank God almighty that Eucharia has found according to her, her true calling in life. But the bubble that keep pushing out the water wave is this, looking at the picture of the “new Eucharia” above, what actually is the difference between the old Eucharia that is packed with style and glamour and the “new Eucharia” that is warring for Christ?

I don’t think I see much of a difference, the only thing I will confess I have noted in trying to spot the difference is in the “clock” she bears on her neck, as it’s customary to most clergy. As for the other things, she still has them heavily done. Take a closer look at her make-up for example, the one she categorically pointed out she’d ruled out in her life as a fashion star or icon. She still shaves her eyebrow to the tiniest of a modelnister, still carries the longest of artificial finger nails than those who still agrees that they are fashion conscious.

Nobody is asking that our Nollywood stars who are tired of acting should not take up other career if they feel their current status is diminishing, but they should not rub dirt on our faces by telling us this sort of story and they should please not insult God by bringing him into their “the more you look the less you see” kind of stuff.

That’s my opinion!
