2023 Presidential election  is Today Saturday, 25 February – An interview with Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies

I have been watching the campaign exercises so keenly. I must say kudos to Aisha Yesufu of the Labour party (LP) amongst others in the campaigns so far. She has been so daring and outstanding in her logical reasoning and presentation of her revolutionary speeches to demonstrate that LP is actually a movement rather than a conventional party.

Vote because it’s time for all of us to rule Nigeria together! – Adesanya-Davies

What do you think and how do you feel about Today’s Presidential election, it’s Saturday, 25, February at last? What is your opinion of today’s presidential election?

Imagine this scenario: You locked someone up in the room, in a house, you also padlocked the gate and held the keys tightly in your hands. You then instructed that person to quickly go on an errand and by you a loaf of bread down the road at a far away shop. How now??? That’s the irony and metaphor of asking Nigerians to travel to their various places of registration to cast their votes in today’s election without funds. NO MONEY for feeding let alone transportation. Haba!!!

Is everything okay with the mentality of this broom sticks government!!! Citizens were instructed to deposit all their monies in banks, the banks later said there is no new money to pay them their cash back. In the mist of this unbelievable scarcity of funds, Nigerians now use money to buy money, for instance, at the POS, one buys N5000 at rate of N10000. Is everything okay!? Are we alright!? The mentality of this government beats my imagination most times. It’s all an insult to intelligence! For instance, I personally, I am here stuck in PH, I was not given the opportunity to change my place of voting I’d applied to INEC for change, but there was no response. And now, no funds to go to my Kwara state home to vote as validly indicated on the INEC porter.

However, Nigerians are rare species, I mean a very special human breed, they have a way of living, surviving and performing under any conditions as they have always proved. While I wonder how they would navigate this scenario, I wish them all the best and look forward to seeing the results of the election and it’s credibility! This election is should be unconventional because Nigeria is at the crossroad.

How would you rate the individuals and groups in the presidential campaign so far?

She has been so daring and outstanding in her logical reasoning and presentation of her revolutionary speeches to demonstrate that LP is actually a movement rather than a conventional party. I hope everybody will vote the Papa, Mama and Pikin Logo, No 11, as she has proposed, because it’s time for all of us to rule Nigeria together!

What about the presidential candidates themselves, how would you rate their campaigns?

In my opinion, PETER OBI stands tall among the candidates during the campaigns. PO is the best and ObiDatti would make a great team in this digital age to rule Nigeria without any bias! No goofing, no beating about the bush, never insultive, but discreet, decent, non- flamboyant, non-extravagant and he’s always direct to point. He is an historical enigma in 2023 election and Nigerian politics.

Your last word on the final outcome of the 2023 presidential election please?

I only wish Nigerians would get what they NEED this time around, and not necessarily what some may WANT as Baba General Olusegun Obasanjo has rightly said in his letter specially written to the youths that they should vote OBIDATTI because of our children and the generation unborn. I wish Nigeria the best! I PRAY THEY GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME AROUND!
