66th Grammy: Tyla wins Best African Music Performance category, as Davido, Burna boy miss out
An elated Tyla said she didn’t expect it but was glad to win her first Grammy award at only 22.
South African singer, Tyla has won the Best African Music Performance category at the Grammys.
Tyla who had her breakthrough with the hit song ‘Water’ in 2023 defeated a line-up of Nigerian artistes that includes Davido, Burna boy, Asake and Ayra Starr.
An elated Tyla said she didn’t expect it but was glad to win her first Grammy award at only 22.
Both Davido and Burna boy also failed to win in other categories they were nominated in so far.
