Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has declared the state’s full readiness for international partnerships and investment, following a high-level engagement with political leaders, city mayors, and business moguls in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor’s visit forms part of ongoing efforts to attract cross-border collaborations and drive economic development in Osun.
“With our priority in providing solid infrastructure, improving agriculture and promoting ease of doing business, no one will waste your time setting up a company in Osun. Nobody will demand extra money before you invest in Osun State,” Adeleke assured during the roundtable.
The investment roundtable—hosted at Zanzibar Cuisine and Lounge and coordinated by Hon. Samuel Oyedotun, Chairman of the Osun State Water Corporation—brought together Osun indigenes in Georgia, young entrepreneurs, and top U.S. political and business figures from industries such as real estate, fintech, agriculture, and automobile.
Governor Adeleke was accompanied by Revd. Bunmi Jenyo, Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, and Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa, Commissioner for Rural Development. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) through infrastructure development and business-friendly reforms.
He highlighted key policy actions already taken, including harmonised tax bills, efforts to improve the ease of doing business, and deliberate investment in infrastructure and agriculture, aimed at making Osun a top destination for investors.
On security, the governor noted enhancements to the Amotekun Corps, which now works closely with the Police, Army, and NSCDC to ensure local intelligence gathering and investor safety.
“Osun State is setting the standard for foreign businesses seeking a safe and profitable destination,” he added.
In his vote of thanks, Hon. Sam Oyedotun pledged to collaborate with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to support Osun indigenes in the diaspora who are showing growing interest in returning to contribute to the state’s development.
The event marks a significant step in the state’s strategic outreach to the global business community, positioning Osun as an emerging hub for investment and innovation in Nigeria.
