The culture, evolution, and history of women who were born, live, and are from the continent of Africa reflect the evolution and history of the African continent itself. We live in a time where people no longer vaue their Black skin color , rather they try to imitate and desire to posses what they classify as a better color White skin.

This is predominantly becoming common among the African Black skin woman who sees her skin color as an irritation and disgusting posession, some feel the skin is the reason why they are where they are, they feel true beauty is better achieved in being white so black to them can’t be admired.

A recent study by the University of Cape Town suggests that one woman in three in South Africa bleaches her skin. The reasons for this are as varied as the cultures in this country but most people say they use skin-lighteners because they want “white skin”.

This study if replicated in other African countries such as Nigeria, this discovery will be shocking as most girls particularly in Nigeria has resort to devise a means of changing their skin color since they cannot afford a surgery, they believe cream misture is the cheapest, fastest and affordable means to getting their skin in the shape which they desire and classified as true beauty.

Speaking with Franca the CEO of Frankiss-Glam, a make-up artist, she explained that some mistake make up for bleaching and there by want to posses same skin color forgetting that natural black is beautiful, stating that make up is only an add up that gives a Glam to the face but maintain the original skin color of that person.

She explained that the African Woman posses the best skin color in the world, she explained how black skin ladies becomes more beautiful as they get older in age, compare to the White skin people, that the projection is clearly different that make up fits better even at that old age in them compare to a white skin lady.
Very few people in Nigeria and Africa know the concentration of the toxic compounds that are contained in the products on the black market and that is concerning. We need to do more to educate people about these dangerous products, ladies use on their face so as to look fairer than they are presently, using make isn’t a bad idea but the intention to change the skin color from the black skin to a white sin lady through these of other comoleme could be more dangerous t the skin than wearing a make up.

Psychologists say there are also underlying reasons why people bleach their skin – but low self-esteem and, to some degree self-hate, are a common thread.

But skin-lightening is not just a fascination and obsession of women. A Congolese hair stylist Jackson Marcelle once says that shee has been using special injections to bleach his skin for the past 10 years. Each injection lasts for six months. She said “I pray every day and I ask God, ‘God why did you make me black?’ I don’t like being black. I don’t like black skin,”
