Blockades: The Lekki Blockades vs Food Route Blockades by the North -By Micheal A. Adeniyi

When the southern youths were being killed by SARS on a daily basis they activated the ENDSARS movement and blocked the Lekki Tollgate. When the Northern youths got angry about killing of Northern and southern traders in Shasha, Oyo state they blocked the food routes to the South. They have even painted barrage of slave-master relationship. Wtf. 

Illegal Intervention in Judicial Process. 

It is no news that we have a half brilliant presidency. I mean a group of men in government issuing orders and all sort. But it is painful to see that the group consisting of 3 lawyers did not understand that the government is not supposed to interfere in the ongoing investigative panel set up by Oyo state government over the Shasha incidence. The incidence happened in Oyo and Oyo is only a state in the South. 

Food routes blockade and its stupidity.

The protest against Oyo should be against Oyo not Southern Nigeria and all Southerners. We should be allowed to wait for the compensation prepared by Oyo Governor. The panel raise by Oyo state government will pay victims of Shasha violence which include the Northern and Southern marketers. The food blockade by the North is total ethnic profiling. Hate and war mongering. It lacks any moral justification because justice is in the process of being served, but they took laws into their own hands.

The food blockade would have remained if the North had succeeded in finding a trade partner but alas they counted their own loss in billions. We all share same allocation from our IGR we all pay back international loans given to Nigeria but Southerners pay their own share to Northern farmers. That’s a wake up call. Now, the South’s share will go into importation just as the North is trying to export as they run into loss. We need each other but we may be better when divided. 

Massacre vs Ransome.

Paying Northerners any compensation will mean an hostage situation acknowledge. The truth is the South wasn’t taken hostage. Why the rush to pay ransome? During Lekki Toll blockade the government sent military to stop the protesters. During the blockade of route for food movement to Southerners, the government dialogues with protesters. 

Who told he government to dialogue? Dialogues with clear losers? I mean those who lost billions from their own foolish actions. Why is FG  trying to compensate their stupid loss with our money. Try it first. We are going to block the food routes on the Southern axis next. Let the circus continue as the presidency could sound stupid or nepotistic as it want to. Block southern borders again and we will declare a Republic. We are tired of this silly contraption.
