Buharism: Ideology Or Religion -By Abdulrahman Yunusa

President M Buhari
If Marxism, Buddhism, Maosim, Communism and all other sims suffixes terms can be cited as ideology yet as religion to some certain extent by some people then why Buharism will remain exceptional among it peers ? Don’t be flabbergasted by the above analogy of linking Buharism to religion, it’s a hint for readers to fathom religion can be attributed to many things not only to the parties we subscribed ourselves to.
Its not a parable but a fact that most Nigerians once dive and sipped from the un-sonorous tricky ocean of Buhari political ideology. Prior to our vacation from the most patronize camp by Nigerians, we loved, shielded, and supported our political idol madly. But as for now, many including the writer of this piece have parted their ways to the movement as for now, we have moved to another viable paradigms which is ” Meritocracy over anything ” and we do believe this will pays beautifully than the old cave we left.
Also It’s quite true that in the temple of any ideology there are staunch worshipers that revere it and sees with utmost regard as religion. Perhaps, unlike Islam and Christianity that traced their origin to the hey days of Abrahimic religion. Sorry to say the least Buharism can be classified among them, as Communism, capitalism, Buddhism and other emerging ideologies which are similar to religion. Some Buharist have such unwavering support for anything that is brought by their messiah for they believe their pioneer is akin to saints wallowing in their shrines.
As it’s obvious that all religions enjoy unquestionable fellowship, total and a absolute allegiance from their ardents followers, so Buharism as a well established political ideology with vast loyalist from different part of Nigeria and perhaps some African countries, it could be cited as one. Don’t hesitate to call me some bizarre names for I can be right to some degree of probe and otherwise. But just ponder with an unprejudiced mind. For most of the staunch Buharist believe their political messiah is saint, and for that we call his ideology as religion because beliefs are what are mostly attributed to the religions.
For whatever authored by the messiah or by his cabal can be depended with no iota of shame or second thought if it deems fit not be openly protected. They added fuel price and got an unflinching backup from it staunch men to which its a very odd reality to all that none has ever added a fuel price to such certain extent without being dared by the labor union, they came up a hurtful idea of acute erroneous philosophy of protectionism on some certain products to which rice is part up, yet they were massively supported by their men.
However, despite all those men who we refer to as slaves or worshipers to such ideology or political religion, there are some sound reasnable people amidst the camp that validly reasons with their heads to an extent that nothing they can succumb to accept without much ponder over it. They keenly wait to make a through scrutiny before accepting anything that is being Buharified though they have a sumptuous thought and wishes to the country and the messiah as a whole. Mildly such folks deserve to be respected for possessing the gut to sensor their love at a moment that such critical action matters the most, and they also have to be exonerated from this black camp.
Moreover, the majority of camp members or adherents of the said religion are those who view him and some of his men with the lens infallibility attached to their souls despite they lack the political acumen, their anti masses ideas are apocryhals though they warmly welcome them. They further serve as subservient to their mad orders and they are ever ready to welcome any nonsense that traced it root from them. Please take the case of Kaduna governor and some nigerian governors now, upon all the gebbesrish and twaddle they are showcasing beneath the rusty power throne they are being protected and they are enjoying flimsy excuses from those bootlickers whom i refer to as ” Buharism ” worshipers and from other political sycophants.
Huh ! I guess having understanding the readers carefully observed i have mention worshipers so they could definitely have the grit to ask ” Who is the God or Idol ” that is being worshiped under this religion, so please, Don’t ask me question on ” Godding ” or ” Idolizing ” because I’m not well prepared to be bashed callously upon it, I can only afford to mind my business on such gargantuan part for im sure i won’t go unchallenged if i mistakenly touch the revered soul of saint Buhari. Meanwhile many won’t enjoy hearing what many will attributed their messiah with, but it’s inevitable to call him a ” Demigod ” to some but not all.
Quite sure He is like Marx at his capacity also famous at his climax milleu, the likes of Ghandi of Buddha, Mandela of S-Africa and other historic demigods shared same fate with him but only on intellectual capacity the varied, the rest are intellectually vast while the former is intellectually shallow. Though there are many attributes that his staunch lovers are flaunting him with upon others, to which integrity and having a strict principle on treasury management are part of, yet he lack the audacity to depend the toughest question of certificate.
In addition to that, his nationalistic zeal is highly adorable and extremly commendable even by his cohorts and his enemies among his age mates. He Cherished leadership with utmost sincerity and passion but he is in absolute dearth of leadership skills and competency in management affairs. It’s also irrefutable fact that Buhari has an outstanding zeal of leading people but unfortunately he lacks the focus and leadership mindset at all.
Nonetheless, i view his political camp as one among the mini- religious entities simply because therein i grasp the full idea of blind support, stared at some particles of political extremism and finally collide with fanatical and unsullied army of political defense, for that, Let’s warmly accept it as political if not social religion for it encompassed all element of religions and orthodox ideologicals. And it would be better if we sees him as facsimile of an idol to some extent, not just a ideology master.
For his political career, his inability to dealt with his kinsmen and other notorious hand from his cabinet is what may definitely paint him black eternally in the eyes of Nigerians, though it’s almost late for him to fix that haphazardly fragile area, but i do believe he could revive some portion of his love and respect from Nigerians who are being wallowing in the terrain of optimism and goodwill if he wish so, and for the rest he will be forever be remember as bad for the unwanted ordeals attached to his political reign.
Finally, its of greater important to know that Being optimistic all the time is one thing and pouring a blind support to someone while missing the right lane is another thing but being an optimist and choosing the right one among thousands without personality worship amidst a hazy moment is what matters a lot, because all we crave for is better life and it can only be achieve through maintaining consistency with right lane.
