My darling, precious, glorious, dignified, world-famous and heavenly celebrated Nigerian sisters,

I always feel sorry for teenagers who decide to engage in romantic relationships. They’ll always have stunted growth and crash. Well, except you have parents who can rein in on you and your crazy emotions. The above title was what I discovered with my precious jewels at Makoko Slum on the International Day of the Girl Child while encouraging them to dream great dreams that’ll take them out of the slum to go live in Hollywood if they wanted. Only for us to wake up to the horrific story of a lady who was reported to have got married at 15, endured so much abuse, carried sacrifices and delved into fetishism to assist her husband’s “glory!” She even reportedly dropped out of school and decided to end it all by setting their house on fire and she eventually died in that fire leaving behind five children.

Who knows whether they took a blood oath which drove her crazy and sat her down inside hell fire for years. I felt bad merely seeing her pictures as a teenager cuddling with her so-called husband! She looked so traumatised and mentally-disturbed- clearly not herself! I feel so bad for her and what a way to die.

I hope a lot of you girls have learned and parents as well who feel there’s nothing wrong in having a little feel of romance in your teens. That little crush if not nipped in the bud could mess you up for life. There’s time for everything. Your future starts now- what you do with your life now will determine your future failure or success. May the fire of God fall upon you now and reset every brain and soul lost to boyfriends in Jesus mighty name.
