Cornelius Adam Igbudu: Isoko’s Greatest Evangelist
He did not confine himself to the four walls of the Anglican Church but moved out on his open-air crusades and saved those who may not have come to Church.
Cornelius Adam Igbudu (1914-1981) was a Nigerian Anglican evangelist who founded the Anglican Adam Preaching Society (A.A.P.S). He was born around 1914 at Araya, Delta State, Nigeria to Pa Igbudu Etatimi and Ajeminemu.
During his early childhood and adolescence years, he performed all the activites that village children of his time were engaged in: running errands for the elderly, farming and fishing. However, he was certainly not carried away by those things.
His real passion was evangelism. He was a man with passionate intensity and legendary humility.

His message was clear and simple: repent and do away with idols. He won thousands to Christ.
He was an embodiment of miracles, a man whose Isoko self-composed songs inspired many.
He died peacefully on March 12, 1981 and was buried at his compound at Araya on April 4, 1981. He was about 67 years old.
