Kebbi State, Commissioner of Agriculture, Alhaji Shehu Muazu has said that the unfortunate looting that took place in Kebbi has nothing to do with the Kebbi government and the food items stolen belong to the Dangote foundation.
Muazu in a press conference in Birnin Kebbi on Monday accused the Dangote foundation of diverting truckloads of 5kg of rice without informing the security agencies which raised suspicion by members of the public perhaps they want to hoard it with intent to deny them hence the reason for the sporadic looting in the state.
The state government, however, condemned in strong terms the looting and described the looters as miscreants looking for any opportunity to strike, warning that such will be met with strong consequences.
