Fanaticism Has No Single Home -By Abdulrahman Yunusa

Think of those that claim to be atheist, agnostics or pagans yet choose to be tormenting others with their vituperative as well as derogatory remarks. If such men can use all the ill instruments they have at their disposal while being a threat to others, then your cognitive capacity will surely inform you extremism is not meant for a single home since the homeless can choose to be extremist so what thought do you have on the rest ?

Therefore, Stick to your own ideas and thoughts, while being on that verge then feel not the whims of hurting others by trying to be whatever you want to be. Meanwhile, this alone would assure you that terrorism is not a product of any single ideology or sect rather it generates the horrible flames from the fanatics minds of some ingrates which in one way or the other claims to be a member of a particular sect, religion or even ideologue.

This is to say ” Fanaticism ” has no single home as one of my cyber mentors in person of Mallam Abdussamad Ahmad Yusuf once stated in his post some days back. In addition, due to some factual evidences I come to a point where I have no choice than to pay a respect and wholeheartedly subscribe to his idea not because of who he is in my eyes but because of how valid the statement is.

Ranging from the old Islamic sect we found in Nigeria which is the mighty Qadiriyya sect as we know in today’s world, coming down to it subsequent emerged one to which we famously known by Tijjaniyya and then later followed by the new established one which is the controversial Salafi or Wahabi movement as we refer them today. It had also encompassed Izala both Jos and Kaduna as they popularly known by many too. There is no single sect that is left out from being affected by the deadly disease of religious fanaticism which is the cancer of terrorism. Therefore in one way or the other none from those established sects has the guts to callously speak against any, for through the lens of everyone, none would be exonerated in that particular matter because they all contributed actively or passively in the decay of today’s religion.

Moreover, of all the available sects, famous and less-famous ones we see out there are peace lovers and unity lovers and there are some dimwitted folks in existence whom they care not about anything good rather they only have the wishes and aspirations of glorifying misunderstanding that might in the long run turn to violent one, scatter the society, cause disunity among ummah and later gather hot-headed men as staunch followers. Therefore, with those set of imbecile we shouldn’t be leaving our holy affairs in the hand of less informed or misguided men in the name of custodian of Islam for the simple reason that they are misguided and they would surely misguided others with their unguided utterances.

And methinks, the best way to tame the plight of terrorism in our baby societies is to actively reform our mode of teaching ” Da’awah ” in the sense that it would be aptly match the modern worl system of life without violation of the ordain principles which we were asked to follow since our arrival in to this sinful world. Until we adhere to this, we can be able to have a better society with better understanding of our differences of all sort.

Meanwhile, Let alone the versatile Ulam’a dissect any controversial idea/ matters that hit our ways and head and let your mind be free from the shackles of dogmatism to an extent that it can allow you pinpoint and grasp the truth without being offended by anyone stance. Then when we mind to abide by this sumptuous logic, we can be able to live peacefully with each other.

Finally, the Ulama’a should also avoid welcoming newly adopted Fatwas in to our baby learning juries because those aliens fatwas ” Injunctions ” are the roots of any violent extremism in our society. For if one could truly think, and impartially analyze the reasons of all these inter-sect fierce fight, we can end at a point of which we can find out that the act of romancing alien matters I e, fatwas and newly ways of performing ritual are the alpha and the omega causes in the course of bringing chaos in to our harmonious communities.

Note: We can be different in understanding matters, we can be Izali, Shi I, Dariqa and the rest and still be living a friendly life when we believe that that the God we are worshipping or channeling our rituals is the lover peace and cherisher of peaceful acts.
