The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police leadership foiled a plan to traffic in children by conducting a daring operation that freed five juveniles from the grasp of suspected traffickers.

In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, two female suspects, Kulu Dogonyaro and Elizabeth Ojah, were taken into custody by the operatives on April 27, 2024, at approximately 8:00 p.m. at Kagini Junction, Abuja. While trying to transport the five youngsters into the Federal Capital Territory, the suspects were apprehended.

“The suspects, who initially attempted to escape arrest from Sokoto police operatives, were finally apprehended by our eagle-eyed officers in Abuja,” Adeh said.
