Federal Road Safety Corps: Pushing it -By Edith C. Yassin

Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC ) arbitrarily stopping motorists with private cars to demand that they go for immediate vehicle check, is to say the least, asking too much.

With the recent fuel price hike and inflation, this agency of government is diplaying insensitivity and their actions are ill-timed.

The prevailing economic hardship has everyone on edge. It will take very little to push citizens over the brink.

A motorist that has all necessary particulars should not be forced to part with N2000 or more at short notice in these crucial times. It makes sense to schedule it with the next renewal.

However, our men in uniform always prefer threatening citizens and displaying extortion type moves. This may backfire very soon.
