GbaramatuVoice to launch multi-million Naira Media Institute, Resource Centre in Niger Delta -By Jerome-Mario Utomi

The Management of Gbaramatu Publishing Company Limited, owners of GbaramatuVoice Newspaper, has announced that the Newspaper will   on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, by 10:00am, at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos State, launch a multi-Million Naira Media Institute and Resource Centre for Niger Delta studies. 

This was contained in a recent statement personally signed by Mr. Jacob Abai, the GbaramatuVoice publisher and made available to newsmen in Lagos. With an estimated value of over eight Hundred Million, the planned Media Institute, which according to the statement (shall be sited in the Niger Delta region) will among other functions, provide platform where media excellence shall be promoted and young graduates trained on different media skills for self reliance. 
Again, the Resource Centre for Niger Delta Studies shall  provide a space for critical research areas to finding sustainable solution to the nagging challenges of underdevelopment within the region and the nation at large.

Speaking further, Abai explained that the launch will form part of the Newspaper’s 6th Anniversary Lecture which has as central theme: Dwindling State of Crude Oil Demand in the Global Market: The Way Forward, will have His Excellency Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria deliver a keynote address; and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo, as Special Guest Of Honour.

Other dignitaries expected at the lecture/award giving ceremony include but not limited to; traditional rulers from the Niger Delta, captain of industries within and outside the country, executives of International Oil Companies (IOCs) operating in the country, public office holders from the Niger Delta region, leaders of specialized groups in Nigeria, among others.
