Nigerians in 2015 and 2019 voted for you Mr President in anticipation that as former military head of state and a retired General, you are in a better positioned to deal decisively with all forms of threats to security of the people. But six years down the line, (apart from the first two years )rather than abate, insecurity has escalated thereby exposing great numbers of people to avoidable deaths and loss of property in a manner that history has never witnessed.

I’m Not here to castigate, defy, neither to antagonise your administration but to fish out naked truth mr president.

On a regular basis, several civilians and soldiers are killed by men of the underworld. Our Highways ,schools, and farmlands are not safe as they’re invaded by terrorists.

Deaths, kidnapping and banditry day by day .As At the last count, over 5000 lives have been lost in the last five years and the number increases by the day with no solution in sight.
To be honest there has been improvements in the security landscape in the country especially in the first two years of your administration mr president. But since then the security situation in the country is deteriorating and its high time to fine tune the security architecture for us to have enduring peace in our motherland .
I’m not doubting the president commitment, passion and ego but in all honesty things are backsliding into former state of appears and even creating idiopathic dimensions .
It’s high time to inject new strategies into the system.

Albert Einstein says “insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”

The current service chiefs should go there best is no longer enough ,mr president you had once said it back June and National Assembly has passed vote of no confidence on them on several occasions.

So, Mr president you have the prerogatives to appoint, sack or replace service chiefs, at the same time, you swore an oath to protect the lives and property of every Nigerian citizen. Why not ease them mr president, they have done there best but there best is no longer enough to secure the lives and properties of Nigerians.

History tells that , President Shehu shagari had Ipoola Alani Akinrinde,Gibson Jalo,Mohammad inuwa wushishi as his chiefs of army staffs during his tenure .President Obasanjo in his civilian rule Had victor malu, alexander ogomudia,Martin luzar agwai and Owoye Andrew azazi, 3 of them as his Chiefs of army staffs during his regime. Late. President Yardu’a and President Jonathan started with Gen luka Yusuf,to Abdulrahaman bello Dambazau,Azubuike ihejerika and kenneth minimah are there chiefs of army staffs . This shows that no body is indispensable.

The current Chief of Defence staff is course 25 ,in his 41st year of service his peers had retired , is he so indispensable, No! COAS is course 26 is he so indispensable ,No!
Absolutely no body is indispensable !By due next year course 35 are retiring with out reaching pinnacle of there carriers . Is that what law says .Justice .Equity.lawful and fairness need to be done for there juniors to reach that pinnacle.

There is need of new ideas ,new morale ,new perspectives to change the narratives of the current security challenges in the country as the present game plans are no longer working !

Lastly, While if the president decided to Let them go Whoever eventually becomes appointed as a Service Chief must avoid making the mistakes the present occupiers of the office made.

May I use this opportunity once again,to pray for the safely returns of the recently abducted Science Secondary School Kankara, those at the hostage of other kidnappers and those displaced by insurgencies. May Almighty bring peace and prosperity to our mother land Nigeria. Ameen!
