A newly established Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Ejiba, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, was attacked by armed bandits during Sunday service, causing panic in the community.

The incident, which occurred on Sunday morning, sent worshippers fleeing as gunshots rang out around the area. According to residents, the assailants stormed the church unexpectedly and abducted the pastor—popularly known as Orlando—along with his wife and several other members.

Locals described the attack as frightening, noting that the sudden invasion left many residents in shock. The exact number of individuals taken away has not yet been confirmed.

As of the time this report was filed, neither the Kogi State Government nor the Police had issued an official statement regarding the incident.
