If I can beat it, you can too – Adekunle Gold tells sickle cell survivors

Adekunle Gold said, “I want to say you can do it. If I can do it, you can do it too. I grew up with sickle cell. I was born with sickle cell. All my life, I fought with it. But I am thankful I was able to manage it. I’m everywhere, doing shows, I don’t fall sick. I am thankful. So this is reaching out to everybody going through, having to deal with the crisis, you can do it. It should never stop you. Look at me, I am a superstar right now.”

Popular Nigerian singer, Adekunle Kosoko also known as Adekunle Gold has recounted his battle with sickle cell anemia.

During his recent show, the singer stated that he was diagnosed with sickle cell at birth.

Adekunle Gold revealed that he has lived with the condition throughout his life.

Despite the challenges it presents, he expressed gratitude for his ability to manage the illness, allowing him to pursue his passion for music and perform on stages worldwide without succumbing to its effects.

He encouraged those with similar health challenges to remain resilient and determined in pursuing their life goals.
