Igboho Is No Better Than Kanu -By Usama Abdullahi

Sunday Igboho, a “Yoruba Nation” secessionist, is now a copycat of the Nnamdi Kanu’s IPOB. He’s trying to duplicate the game plan of IPOB, but with little alterations since his secondary target is on the herdsmen. Recently, I learnt that the DSS raided his residence and seized some of his men, but found him missing. People who endorse such absurd plan of his, should, therefore, know that Igboho is no better than Kanu.

It’s quite frustrating and very difficult for me to dodge comments about the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu and the recent case of Sunday Igboho because the cases trend beyond this space. For that I feel forced to write down my thoughts upon the ongoing saga. Kanu openly quests for a new nation out of Nigeria, which he and his fellow refer as Biafra. But for him and his fellow to demonstrate that will without resorting to violence, instead, they ended up stirring crisis within the country.

They, however, attacked security agents and had also led to the death of many innocent people. At first, it was seen as mere secession, but later became obvious that it was a ‘ploy’ to risk the lives and properties of other people. What will amaze you is, kanu with whom the IPOB gangs paid allegiance to, comfortably lives abroad. Kanu is enough affliction to the country because of the genocidal and hate speeches he’s spewed against Nigeria. Mind you, the land which he beshrewed is his own place of birth.

Aren’t you yet suprise that after discrediting and cursing the whole country he was shamefully apprehended from the outside, brought back, chained and appeared before the court of law in the same country he made sport of! This is one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen. I laughed at his puerile gest. Meanwhile, methinks that, upon seeing the detainment of Kanu, people with similar views will not hesitate to fight such derisive views before everyone noticing, but the reverse was the case.

Nnamdi Kanu and President Buhari

If he’s never tackled now, then he may grow wild, even wilder than we could expect. Or he may unwisely jumps bail, departs for the foreign countries and continues from where Kanu stopped. We will, therefore, have the renewal of Kanu’s same vacuousness. Which I know, we really don’t. So, in order to permanently avoid these from reoccurring, I appeal to the Government to double its effort to ensure that the cuckoos, bandits, terrorists, kidnappers who are disturbing the peace of this country, are neutralise.
