According to statistics over 110 female and 130 male students aged from 23-27 used TikTok application daily and the results showed that 31.25% of student were addicted to TikTok application not for studying but for fun which can affect there academic levels.

In this era where TikTok have become popular and trending in our society a lot of student have been influenced by the application, TikTok application have emerged as a powerful tool for entertainment, creativeness of short videos online and dessemination of the videos to the public.
This application is mostly used by young people although now is generally used by almost everyone, the application replaced some of the time spend on other social media for must of the participants of the research while increasing the screen time of others.
However, TikTok addiction has affected a lot of student academically because most of the students spend more of their quality time they had on TikTok which can diminish their focus on studies because the application easily distract student from focusing on their academics and wasting their more valuable time that they could be investing in their learning.
Although, the application also comes with it’s advantage that creative or talented student can make use of the opportunity to get good use and maintaining productive study habits e.g expanding their levels of education, sharing of research result about a particular subject area, exchanging of ideas etc. but most student prefer using the application to do things that will not add any value to their academics.
Moreover, TikTok application can help student to practice pronunciation and speaking skills in front of camera, they can also learn skills that they can apply in class and to the world such as video editing as basic cutting audio precisions but a lot of student take TikTok application as silly app.
