International Criminal Court (ICC), The Ten Stages Of Genocide And Why The Sultan Of Sokoto And Other Fulani Leaders Must Be Tried -By Nwankwo T. Nwaezeigwe

The ten stages of genocide outlined below were developed by Gregory H. Stanton, President of Genocide Watch as a guide for people and communities to quickly discern the emerging signs of genocide and thus have the opportunity to stop it from developing into the catastrophic stage.

Classification: The differences between people are not respected. There’s a division of ‘us’ and ‘them’ which can be carried out using stereotypes, or excluding people who are perceived to be different.

Symbolization: This is a visual manifestation of hatred. Jews in Nazi Europe were forced to wear yellow stars to show that they were ‘different’.

Discrimination: The dominant group denies civil rights or even citizenship to identified groups. The 1935 Nuremberg Laws stripped Jews of their German citizenship, made it illegal for them to do many jobs or to marry German non-Jews.

Dehumanization: Those perceived as ‘different’ are treated with no form of human rights or personal dignity. During the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, Tutsis were referred to as ‘cockroaches’; the Nazis referred to Jews as ‘vermin’.

Organization: Genocides are always planned. Regimes of hatred often train those who go on to carry out the destruction of a people.

Polarization: Propaganda begins to be spread by hate groups. The Nazis used the newspaper Der Stürmer to spread and incite messages of hate about Jewish people.

Preparation: Perpetrators plan the genocide. They often use euphemisms such as the Nazis’ phrase ‘The Final Solution’ to cloak their intentions. They create fear of the victim group, building up armies and weapons.

Persecution: Victims are identified because of their ethnicity or religion and death lists are drawn up. People are sometimes segregated into ghettos, deported or starved and property is often expropriated. Genocidal massacres begin.

Extermination: The hate group murders their identified victims in a deliberate and systematic campaign of violence. Millions of lives have been destroyed or changed beyond recognition through genocide.

Denial: The perpetrators or later generations deny the existence of any crime.

How many of these stages can we currently identify from the heinous activities (Mass killings, Kidnapping for Ransom and, Displacement and occupation of the ancestral lands of indigenous Nigerians currently being perpetrated by:

(a.) Muslim Fulani Herdsmen,
(b.) Muslim Killer Bandits,
(c.) Boko Haram,
(d.) Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) and,
(e.) The Covert and Overt Collaboration of the Nigerian Muslim Fulani leadership from the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa’adu Abubakar, through all the Emirs of Northern Nigeria, to all the leading Fulani Political leaders and Jihad activists with Mallam Nasir el-Rufai as the arrow-head?
(f.) Ms Amina J. Mohammed— the Fulani-born Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) who uses her position to compromise the United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres from taking appropriate action against the on-going genocide being perpetrated by her Fulani kinsmen in the Middle Belt Region of Nigeria.

According to May 31, 2022 Report of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) Regional Bureau of West and Central Africa on Persons of Concern, there are 3,141,409 internally displaced persons in Nigeria, courtesy of the genocidal activities of Muslim Fulani herdsmen, Muslim bandits, Boko Haram and ISWAP.
Shall we continue to keep graveyard silence while these crimes against humanity continue unabated with devilish progression? This is a simple question to every Nigerian Christian from the high to the low and of all ethnic extractions.

Do we know who shall be the victim tomorrow among us (the Christians of this country) — the President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the General Overseers, the Arcshbishops, the Bishops, the Pastors, Reverends, the Primates, the Apostles, the Evangelists, the Born-again, the Knights of many Saints, the Nominal Christians, the Well-Protected Christian Politicians and all the Traditionalists who are not Muslims?

Shall we allow ourselves to be turned to Afonja descendants of Ilorin Emirate of today who have become perpetual slaves to the immigrant Muslim Fulani in their ancestral land?

Shall these people continue to move around freely without prosecution in the Nigerian political space under the heinous protection of their peace of Islam in the face of these heinous crimes against humanity?

Or shall concerned and fearless Nigerians rise up and bring these people before the International Criminal Court (ICC) to face the music and prove to them that we are not in the 19th century—the age of Usman dan Fodio Jihad?
Burkina Faso, a Christian-majority country has just been taken over by a Muslim Head of State amidst heinous activities of Fulani insurgents.

Mali is being attacked from one angle by Fulani insurgents Cote d’Ivoire, a Christian-majority country is under Muslim rule. Guinea-Bissau, a Christian-majority country has been taken over by a Muslim Fulani. The Gambia, a Fulani-minority country has been taken over by the Fulani. Senegal, a Fulani-minority country has been taken over by Fulani. Sierra Leone, a country without a defined ethnic Fulani territory has a Fulani Vice President.
Togo, a country with less than five percent Muslim population is being attacked by Fulani-sponsored insurgents through her border with Burkina Faso. Chad, a Christian-majority country has become a perpetual Muslim nation and a launch-pad for Islamic conquest of Nigeria.

Congo DRC, a country with a negligible three percent Muslim population is being besieged by these Jihadists.
Uganda, a nation with a negligible five percent of Muslim population is being attacked by these Muslim insurgents.
Mozambique, another country with only four percent Muslim population is equally besieged by these jihadists.
Central African Republic (CAR) was once conquered by a negligible Fulani minority of less than five percent population with the help of Chad and Sudan through their Seleka insurgent group, until the ordinary people—the majority Christian population of the people took up arms through their Anti-Balaka uprising and re-conquered their land from the Fulani invaders.

Majority of the Fulani population of Central African Republic was driven out of the country and subsequently settled in refugee camps in Cameroon, Chad, Congo DRC, Republic of Congo, Sudan and, South Sudan.

According to United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) December 2022 end of the year Global Refugee Population Report, the Central African Republic had a total population of 762,700 refugees distributed in the following order in the above mentioned countries: Cameroon— 352,700, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)—211,200, Chad—126,900, the Republic of the Congo— 29,600, Sudan— 24,400, and South Sudan— 2,300.
Much of the 352, 700 and 126, 900 refugees in Republics of Cameroon and Chad respectively are being forcibly resettled in the Middle Belt region and parts of Southern Nigeria, in the name of Fulani herdsmen camps, with their ex-Seleka rebels joining the ranks of the already rampaging Fulani herdsmen and bandits to wreck havoc on indigenous Christians of Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria.

This seemingly movement of Global Fulani population to the Nigerian political Eldorado has even lately increased with geometric progression following the on-going Sudanese civil war between two rival generals, which subsequently increased the refugee pressure on Republic of Chad, leading to further push into the Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria territory.

This is in addition to on-going solicited immigration into Nigeria of Fulani nationals of Republic of Guinea where the combined political force of Madinka, Susu, Kpelle and Kisi ethnic groups has perpetually shut them off political relevance.

The same applies to Burkina Faso where they constitute a meager 9.4 percent of the population and have been engaged in ruthless insurgency against the majority Mossi ethnic group who constitute 52.2 percent of the population. Indeed it might sound strange to most Nigerians, but that’s the truth. All these insurgencies in West and Central Africa are suspected of being financed by the Nigeria Muslim Fulani leadership through the NNPC and the multiple oil blocs held by the Sultan and Emirs.

Today no one can travel freely in most parts of Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria without the fear of being kidnapped or killed by these Muslim hooligans miscalled Fulani herdsmen, bandits, Boko Haram and ISWAP. The people of Benue state, Southern Kaduna, Plateau State, Nasarawa State, Taraba State, Adamawa State, Kogi State and Southern Borno can no longer sleep with their two eyes closed for fear of being massacred in their sleep by these sons of Lucifer.

Enugu State, the political Capital of Southeast Igboland has practically been run over by Fulani herdsmen and their bandit kinsmen. The Enugu-Okigwe axis of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway has become the den of Fulani kidnappers.

But why shouldn’t it be so, when Abia State Government installed them at Umuchieze, Isikwuato with the full protection and connivance of the officers and men of 82 Division of Nigeria Army Headquarters, Enugu?

The Head of Methodist Church of Nigeria from the neighboring Ihube town, the hometown of my revered mentor Prof Adiele Eberechukwu Afigbo, was kidnapped by these stinking ruffians and subjected to the type of humiliation the Igbo did not experience in the course of their 30-month civil war with the Nigerian Federation and, it ended with “Is Alright,” without a single move by the five Southeast Governors, particularly those of Abia, Imo and Enugu, who were directly associated with the trunk road to dismantle the said cattle settlement.

The Nsukka-Ugwuogo Nike-Enugu road has become a harvest for these Fulani kidnappers. The same applies to Ugwu Abor by Ugwu Onyeama Coal Mine along Enugu to Ngwo axis of Enugu-Expressway. The Udi Four-Corner can no longer be traversed in broad day light without the fear of being kidnapped. But why shouldn’t be so?

The large expanse of land running from Ugwu Abo by Ngwo Enugu Expressway to Opi Nsukka has been conquered by these Fulani kidnappers without a single shot being fired. Unless if it is true as it is being allege, that the traditional rulers and town unions of the adjoining towns signed long term lease agreements with the Fulani.
But let me ask. Why can’t these communities associated with this expanse  of land running from Ngwo and Abor through Nike group of communities on the right hand side and, the combined Udi and Igbo-Etiti communities on the left hand side take one day off and swoop into the forest to end this nightmare once and for all?

I really don’t understand the kind of brains the Igbo political leadership in particular and Nigerian Christian leadership in general have? All these atrocities are happening and they appear as if nothing is happening and believe that all is well with the Nigerian Christians.

Our nation with over sixty percent Christian population is being ruled today by a Muslim President and a Muslim Vice President and our Christian leaders believe all is well with us.

How can Nigerian Christians explain to the world that in a country where they produced 20 out of 36 Governors and, 16 out of 36 Deputy Governors, both the President and Vice President of the country are Muslims? Yet some jihadists represented by Ishaq Akintola of Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) want the Christian majority of this country to dance because President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed Christians as heads of the army, Navy and armed forces.

The question is, is President Tinubu the first Muslim President or head of State to appoint Christians as superior commanders of the armed forces?  Or is it the first time Nigerian Muslim Presidents and Heads of States have used Nigerian Christians to advance their Islamic and jihad objectives?

General Domkat Bali was Minister of Defence under President Ibrahim Babangida when Nigeria was forced into full membership of organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Muritala Mohammed used Generals Obasanjo, Danjuma, Bisala and Joe Garba to topple General Yakubu Gowon, a Christian.

The conclusion of the matter is that Nigeria will never be at peace and united if the Muslim minority of this country believes they can suppress the Christian majority. Those whose fathers abandon the battle of their liberation out of fear, will either die in the hands of their enemy while asleep or postpone the battle for their children to fight in a future date, if their children are lucky to survive the onslaught of the enemy.
