Man United vs Copenhagen: Ten Hag says Regulion could return for UCL fixture
Reguilon’s return would be a huge boost for Manchester United, with midfielder Sofyan Amrabat having to play out of position to cover at left-back in his absence.
Erik Ten Hag has confirmed that defender Sergio Reguilon could be fit for Manchester United for their important UEFA Champions League game against FC Copenhagen at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
Manchester United have lost both of their Group A fixtures against Bayern Munich and Galatasaray.
The Red Devils are struggling with injuries and Reguilon has made only three appearances this season.
He recently recovered from injury but missed Saturday’s win at Sheffield United because of illness.
“Sergio got ill for Saturday so he was fit,” Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag said.
“He trained all week last week and yesterday [Sunday] he was back in part training. He will train [on Monday] and then we have to assess if he is ready and game fit or if he can be involved in the squad. We have to wait for that.”
