The trending high consumption rate of Crystal Ice called “Methamphetamine” continues to sky rocket daily by Nigerian Youths, while the drug pedlers have made the Eastern part of Nigeria the base and trafficking route for illicit trade “ICE”

In the Igbo Language,” ICE” is popularly called Mkpuru- Mrin and it majorly consumed by Youths from the average age of 16yrs.
Mkpuru mrin is a hard drug that trigers the central nervous system which is very addictive that causes sleeplessness, unrest, anger and violence

Majority of the Prostitute in Nigeria today takes it as a catalyst substance for sex making but the side effect is very destructive to the brain and body organs.

Its very sad to destroy peoples home, country while awaits a better nation in your country.
Many Nigerian sell drugs and illicit substances to foreigners in their countries for money making and by so doing have destroyed many lives.

Investigation reveals that many of this hards drugs and illicit substances came into Nigeria through “Returnees” being Nigeria Migrants deported from different parts of the world.

Many of them were deported as a result of drug related offences and crimes. after being trained in various skill acquisition and counselled by IOM, UNODC in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja to reintergrate them back to the society, funds were given to them to start up life in various skills acquired as an empowerment to start a business, but the illicit trade as gone deep into them like hookworm and by so doing, can’t do any other genuine business other than drug peddling.

So many have to move to different location in Nigeria to start up same illicit trading they were engaged with outside the country to make money as they can’t return back to their homes as its known to neighbors, families and friends that they are still outside the country.
