Missile to the Youths of Suleja LGA in regards to credible Chairmanship Flagbearer -By Arc. Abdulfatah Adamu

The worst of our fault is our interest in glamourization Political Candidates without objectivity in analysing the contenders on more criterion to steer the leadership of our dear Local government Area. I read some youths writings with nostalgic feelings seeing how they joined the league of gullible elites and become something contrary to our agitation and aspiration for good governance.

I just realized that some of us are in frantic race to promote campaigns of candidates to suit their biased mind and dwells our continuity into the quagmire of poor governance.

It is sad that, we haven’t learned and comprehend lessons from our past experience of bad leaders. Since the inception of democratic rule, you will agree with me seeing how the youths only give sense of belonging to support unproductive leaders to earn cheap appointment which may in turn make them more or less their foot soldiers (Praise singers).

The truth of the matter is, the sooner we wake up from our slumber and agree with the aphorism that “youths are the leaders of tomorrow” the better we understand that the “tomorrow” is now and this is our chance not very far from us for if we continue to sleep hoping for a better tomorrow to come it may never come into being, for the rotten eggs politicians may snatch it from us while we are still snoring.

Now that the Council Election is forthcoming we should see this as an opportunity to change the existing status quo and participate actively in decision making right from the grassroot to the apex.

People of good conduct and integrity should at this point in time, be supported and encouraged to consider joining active politics in order to salvage us from the hands of bad eggs ”politicians and their foot soldiers” by endorsing the most qualified candidates and not just mere popular candidate for the position.

Politics is not a dirty game,it depends on how you play your cards. Join, It’s now or never for the decision to make the right choice is in your hands.
