The plagiarism explosion. My untold impressions about Buhari, his admirers and APC’s bogus Change.

One, Buhari doesn’t have a glimpsed idea of whatever he reads or says. He only reads speeches as cloned and handed to him. No atom of his direct message or intention! It’s no surprise now why his several promises are daily rescinded. He wasn’t probably aware of those promises that were made on his behalf to bamboozle the electorates. Perhaps, those words were put into his mouths by way of delivering sweet oration. Those juicy promises were arguably not from Buhari. He has been playing a robotic role hitherto.

Two, Buhari and his media team have been in the business of plagiarism for quite a while. It’s just that we have been insensitive to this intellectual fraud. The saying: “I belong to nobody; and belong to everybody” trended for months and won our accolades. We all fell for the scam. I did too. Nigerians were of the opinion that such a powerful peroration is the beginning of our desired Change. We thought these words were Buhari’s words and he meant every letter therein. The story is changed as those words were actually stolen too.

The handwriting is thus becoming clearer that Buhari doesn’t have a dapper image of the Change he promised. I don’t expect him to write his speech himself. Likewise, I don’t expect him to sheepishly read anything handed to him. If the president is lazy to give out points to his speech writers for development, then, he is empty-skulled and doesn’t deserve the mandate reposed on him. With an act of this similitude, it won’t be too surprising if Buhari is caught reading aloud his resignation letter unknowingly.

Three, the rhetoric of sacking his speech writers is another fluke. He won’t do. We aren’t morons. The culprits of budget insertion are still in service despite Buhari’s pretentious threats. His promise of booting them out was all to calm our nerves and reboost our trusts in him. I learnt the culprits’ parastatals were only reshuffled whilst our eyes were taken away from them. Where is his integrity? I thought we were told the story of Buhari’s discipline. I don’t expect his speech writers to duplicate anything for him if at all they see him as a man of true discipline. I love this plagiarism explosion, it gives me untold impressions about Buhari, his admirers and APC’s bogus Change.
