Nigeria-Indonesia Corona Virus Economy Stimulus Parity: A Call for a Rebirth of a New Nigeria -By FBI Oyefeso

Indonesia to spend about 5.6 trillions In Naira value to fight Corona Virus, Nigeria 15 Billion Naira 🙆♂️.
My people how una Dey? Shey Na Like this we go dey Dey? this popular unconventional street parlance is the only thing that rings bell to my eardrum as Nigeria economy is short down in response to suppress Covid19 pandemic.
Indonesia is a country of over 260 million population and the country with the worldi largest island, promote government policies in agricultural self sufficiency from 1950’s to 1960’s and gradual industrialization process which was accelerated in 1980’s.
On the other Side, Nigeria’s economy in the 1950’s down to 60’s is far promising than Indonesia imagination with a solid foundation and growth rate that saw the world powers identifying themselves with us thereby referring to us as the Giant of Africa; Nigeria was no doubt, an emerging industrial nation then before things fall apart.
Back then we were one of the leading agricultural export nation in palm oil, cotton and other agricultural produce. Our services sector was lucrative, rail way and transport sector was soaring, education and healthcare system were functionally emerging with a currency that dollar was enviable of.
While our counterpart Indonesia diversify away from oil exports towards manufactured exports about 40 year ago, Nigeria fell-off the nationhood standard due to leadership retrogression.
Nigeria- Indonesia had abundant natural resources alike, oil and natural gas, coal, tin, copper, gold, and nickel, however, agricultural produces like rice, palm oil, tea, coffee, cacao, medicinal plants, spices, and rubber are commodities that makes up a large portion of Indonesia exports as a result of focused government long term vision through sustainable decades of policies. palm oil and coal briquettes became Indonesia leading export commodities.
While Nigeria’s economy power rely solely on oil and gas resources to fund its yearly budgets, our counterparts 50 years ago have secured a permanent seat at the League of Industrialized and global leaders, the G20 while Nigeria still depends on the scrums from foreign aids to survive and yet we Proud ourselves as the largest economy in Africa, unlike Indonesia, the largest economy giant in Southeast Asia; this left me with no other choice but to whisk away my sorrow and refocused my youthful energy towards rekindling the vision of our founding fathers, to move a motion for a New Nigeria Renaissance Movement, to enjoin our youths to pick up the pieces of a fallen nation, and use this Covid19 economy lockdown as a window of opportunity to ask our leaders some critical questions that Pertain to the system and structure of government we currently practice as a nation: Is the current political and leadership system sustainable? Can a country whose foundation was uttered stand the stormy wind? Are we progressing or retrogressing? Are we a true federation? Does the 1999 constitution reflect the peoples wishes, hopes and aspirations? What does the future hold for our children and unborn generation? These are few questions we must ask our leaders during This season of global economy and leadership doldrums that Corona Virus presents.
If we fail to set this agenda rolling now, then my generation will miss another great opportunity to get Nigeria back on the right track of nation building, common front ideology, principle of justice and fairness, to uphold the honor and glory bestowed on our dear country.
So help we God!
