Resignation of 365 Soldiers

In response to a distress call, Nigerian Army troops stopped an armed kidnapping attempt at the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa State on Nasarawa-Keffi Road and freed the victim.

On Thursday, April 4, 2024, while on a normal patrol along the Nasarawa-Keffi road in the Nassarawa Local Government Area of Nassarawa State, the military conducted the rescue operation.

The crooks had attacked the gullible citizen with the intention of kidnapping him, but the army, having been promptly informed by watchful neighbors, moved in to stop the attack and save the civilian.

One of the kidnappers was also captured by the troops after he was shot by the crooks.

Both the wounded suspect and the rescued kidnap victim, who also sustained minor wounds during the abortive attempt, were taken right away to a hospital to receive medical care.

In the meantime, Nigerian Army commanders at all levels have been reminded by Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), that the Army’s transformative drive must be actively pursued in order for the Army to successfully carry out its constitutional obligations.

During the COAS Ramadan Iftar (Breaking of Fast) 2024, the Army Chief made the claim.

Every year, the Department of Army Administration hosts the COAS Ramadan Iftar on behalf of the office of the COAS. This celebration honors the Muslim faithful in the NA as they commemorate the holy month of Ramadan by celebrating with them.

In addition to giving staff members a chance to mingle with senior officers and non-commissioned officers, the COAS observed that it also offered a perceptive forum for directly listening to their urgent issues and worries.

Thank you to everybody who prayed for the Nigerian Army, the Armed Forces, and the country as a whole, Gen. Lagbaja said to the staff.

He asked them to absorb and remember the lessons learned during Ramadan, emphasizing that the Nigerian Army’s leadership will continue to work hard to transform the Army into a highly skilled, equipped, and motivated force with the ultimate goal of eliminating the country’s current security threats in collaboration with sister services and security agencies.

According to Lagbaja, employees must have been observing improvements to the infrastructure in their living and working areas. She also stated that those who have not yet benefited from the continuous good changes should not give up because eventually they will.
