Chief Victor Ogba, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has described the resignation of former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, as proof of President Bola Tinubu’s zero tolerance for corruption.

Ogba stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja while reacting to Nnaji’s resignation.

NAN reports that Nnaji stepped down from his ministerial position on Tuesday following allegations of certificate forgery.

Commending President Tinubu’s stance, Ogba said the president’s decision to accept Nnaji’s resignation demonstrates his firm commitment to integrity in governance, regardless of political affiliation.

“For President Bola Tinubu to accept the embattled minister’s resignation is a clear demonstration of his intolerance for corruption, whether real or perceived,” Ogba said.

He also lauded Nnaji for taking what he described as an honourable step. “I commend the minister for showing honour when it mattered most by throwing in the towel; it aligns with moral and orientational reforms,” he added.

Ogba urged Nigerians to continue supporting the policies and reforms of the Tinubu administration, stressing that they are designed for long-term national benefit.

“President Tinubu is rebuilding almost all aspects of Nigeria’s polity, and we must give him our support to succeed,” the APC chieftain said.
