NSCEA: Let us pray for God’s mercy  

AS ISRAEL MARKS HER 74TH IN A MONTH’S TIME, LET US PRAY  FOR ” GOD’S MERCY ” & ” GOD’S COMPASSION ” FOR NIGERIA THROUGH THE BLOOD OF EVERLASTING COVENANT

Compassion or forgiveness shown towards someone ( NIGERIA & NIGERIANS ) whom it is within one’s power ( GOD’S ABSOLUTE SOVEREIGNTY ) to punish or harm. This is Mercy in action.

Compassion is sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. It motivates people ( WHAT OF GOD? ) to GO OUT of their way to relieve physical, mental, or emotional pains of others and themselves.

To have compassion means to empathize with someone ( NIGERIANS NORTH & SOUTH ) who is suffering ( ARE WE NOT? ) and to feel COMPELLED to reduce the sufferings. It is fuller, truer definition than feelings. In other words, ” SUFFERING TOGETHER”. GOD & MAN?.

We must not ONLY ask God for Mercy during this tribulations season, Compassion too, must be added. The differences are very obvious. Here are the synonyms for Mercy we trust God for this Nation in general:

Leniency; clemency; grace; pity ; charity ; forgiveness ; forbearance ; humanity ( OH BUHARI !!! OH NIGERIANS !!! ) ; humaneness ; humanitarianism ( IDPS’????); mildness; soft-heartedness kindness ; sympathy ; liberality ; Indulgence ; tolerance; generosity ; magnanimity; beneficence.

What of Compassion synonyms?

Pity; sympathy; feeling; fellow feeling; empathy; understanding ; care ; concern ; solicitude ; solicitousness ; sensitivity; tender-heartedness; warm- heartedness; warmth; love ; brotherly love ; tenderness ; gentleness, mercy; mercifulness ; leniency; lenience ; tolerance; consideration; kindness; humanity; humaneness ; kind-heartedness; charity ; benevolence.
