The decision to increase tuition for students may not be unconnected to economic hardships rocking the country which may significantly impact the operational costs of the university.

DAILY GIST recalls that University Of Lagos(UNILAG), University Of Ibadan(UI), University Of Jos(UNIJOS) among others had also announced increment of tuition fees for students, citing high cost of living caused by removal of fuel subsidy.

This development has continued to receive knocks from various stakeholders considering economic situation of the country. Members of NANS and other student have also taken to the streets to show thier grievances.
