Official: Lionel Messi Joins PSG -By Shereefdeen Sawe

The Catalan giants were unable to renew the contract of the Argentine after he had become a free agent in July, though Lionel Messi had earlier agreed to a five years contract but the Spanish side were short of finance to have him continue in Camp Nou.

The six time Ballon D’or  winner is now back together with his former teammate, Neymar. Both South-Americans  had four thrilling seasons together at FC Barcelona in which they created the best trio ever – Messi, Saurez, and Neymar. Could history repeat itself ? Though Suarez would not be among the trio but the PSG’s front three is looking ferociously threatening with Mbappe, Neymar and now Messi. 

The former Barcelona number 10 will wear jersey number 30 , the number he wore in his debut back in Camp Nou. The French side PSG have now plucked out two major stars from La Liga – Lionel and Sergio Ramos.
