UCL Group Stage: Barca Faces Bayern as PSG Showdown with Man City -By Shereefdeen Sawe
The Premier League title holders, Manchester City, who have never lay their hands on the UCL title, though fell short in last season’s final, will lock horns with PSG in a bid to continue their struggle to lift the trophy.
The Spanish club, FC Barcelona, have been drawn to face their 2020 humiliators, Bayern Munich, in Thursday’s UEFA Champions League group stage draw in Istanbul.
Bayern Munich thrashed Barcelona 8-2 in the 2020 UCL knockout, what was considered as the greatest humiliation to the Catalan based club. Both sides have now been drawn in Group E to fight for a spot in the Round of 16.
Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain will take on Manchester City in group A. The Fresh side is considered the favourite to win the continental trophy this season, having added to their squad some football big names_ Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Georgio Wiljnaldum, Ashraf Hakimi and Danaramou.
